[Where Tech Meets Art – Palo Alto, CA]

July 10, 2016

We have a running list of places we want to stop by on our way to wherever we’re doing a mini road trip to in California. Somewhere in the Palo Alto/San Jose area is where all the stops we want to make seems to be. This time we decided to finally work in a trip to the Pace Art + Technology gallery. It’s a very cool and worthwhile stop if you have the time. The museum is basically an interactive and evolving technology driven series of art.

The butterflies were generated in real time, felt like a digital butterfly garden.

We could have stayed there all day

Next we watched a loop that extended to several screens making us feel totally immersed in the piece.

This room was one of the coolest but very hard to capture. Basically there were silk screens with waves and mirrors to help optimize the illusion.

The crystal room is the best exhibit at Pace. You go to the mobile site and pick colors of the stars you want to "send into space" making all the colors change.

We walked through and took so many pictures.

Don't you just wish all rooms looked like this?

Goodbye Pace Gallery, see you soon. (Psst, good tip here is to head over to Phil after for a coffee)
