I love airports. While I don’t love to fly, wait in line and get poked and prodded by customs, this all pays off when I get to bop around the yes, slightly overpriced but generally entertaining airport. Well, in International airports that is. Cities outside of a few exeptions in the U.S. seem to have figured out how tog et better food and entertainment packed into their terminals so I thought I’d round up our stops in Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport and Taipei’s Taoyuan airport for a few tips on killing time during your next gate to gate stopover.
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi – EVA Air Terminal
You’ll get your standard run of the mill shops in this terminal but definitely make sure you stop by any of the general souvenir shops because you can try their fortune cookie like “egg rolls” in varieties ranging from coconut to chili.
Towards the ends of the airport you will find a Coffee World and several other outposts for food, we opted for this one.
So this airport has themed waiting lounges. My favorite one of course being the Hello Kitty one but with living gardens and on filled with just orchids…it is definitely worth exploring beyond the gate you’re assigned.
