Welcome to a flashback post!
Long weekends are the best. Minus when its minus degrees out and your only option is to run away. Ben and I took a mini weekend away in Philly and scored both our round trip bus tickets for a whopping $28 total. It was settled, we would go into the great white wall of snow despite it snowing in both places.
I got lazy and basically took pictures in this mish moshed order. Deborah will try harder next time….
The one thing that was most right was the Latham Hotel. Staying at a boutique hotel is usually my preference and this ended up being both a more reasonable price and the exact experience we wanted. It certainly didn’t hurt that they had a car at the hotel’s disposal to drive us anywhere we might need a ride…something we took up to and from the bus station as well as our adventure hunting down the best cheese steaks Philly had to offer.
First we hit up the market….
So after gorging on food at Reading Terminal Market, we went about our merry way and touristed around. Of course we stopped by the Liberty Bell…
Last but not least, before we left we checked out the warring cheesesteaks and some serious Federal Donuts.
