[ Mount Tamalpais Sunday Hike – Mill Valley, CA]

July 28, 2016

We are just generally very much into hiking. I wanted to get another one in the books with our friends Paul and Monica who coincidentally just added a very adorable puppy to their family. This called for an excursion where we could be outdoors and catch up with puppy, er, I mean Paul and Monica.

She’ll be coming round’ the mountain, when she comes! And we did. We rode up to Mill Valley and stopped by Dipsea Cafe for a quick breakfast before wandering down to Mill Valley’s downtown strip for some delicious Equator coffee.

After this we made our way to Mt. Tam and unfortunately I don’t know which trail we did exactly because we picked one absolutely at random! We started off the side of the road and hiked our way down the back way into Muir woods, giving us a good mix of mountain views and forest views.

Along the way down we ran into this semi-secret restaurant but it was closed, sadly. This hidden German beer hall, The Tourist Club is one you can only find while on a hike and despite our not being able to get in – it looked amazing!
