We love wandering around the mission in San Francisco. The neighborhood is gentrifying quickly so it’s an interesting mix of unbelievable Mexican food, grocery stores, and hipster coffee shops. Here are our picks for a quick morning in the mission from coffee stop to flower picking.
8:00 AM – Coffee to go
[Four Barrel Coffee – 375 Valencia St]
We grab coffee at Four Barrel, The Mill (known for its thick cut toasts)’s hipster step sister. We grab coffees to go (be careful not to stand in line behind people waiting for coffee, the line and the waiting pool tend to be one and the same. We have yet to try this amazing espresso and strawberry milk drink they have on special but we opted for straight coffee instead.
9:00 AM – Breakfast Bites
[Craftsman & Wolves – 746 Valencia St]
This is hands down my favorite bakery. They are most know for their “Rebel Within” which amounts to a biscuit like creation with a soft boiled egg in the middle. 10:00 AM – Flower time!
[Ampersand – 80 Albion st]
Flowers in SF are actually pretty affordable. These are not that but they are unique and beautiful so if you need to get specific flowers then this is your place. This little shack Oasis in the city is perfect for putting together your own bouquet.
