[Home Sweet Home – Spring, Texas]

February 3, 2014

I’m back! Well… I was back I guess. It was time for my annual trip home to visit my parents, gain ten pounds and remember why I cannot live in rural areas of the United States of America. This time it was a special boyfriend edition, also known as, nobody will pay attention to me and this was a real vacation, edition. Bringing a boy home for the first time is taxing mostly for the boy as my parents forget entirely that I exist. Mainly the whole long weekend consisted of lots of eating and 75 degree weather. #joy.

We landed Friday night and promptly starting our 12 hours of eating the next day. Saturday was spent trolling the mall and eating lunch outdoors which was of course followed by more eating indoors with my best friend and his wife later that night.

Sunday brought forth football…which wasn’t ideal as Ben is from Boston and well, the Pats played the Broncos. Despite all this we were able to get in some more visiting, ice cream outside and dinner with my parents. (all we did was eat, basically)

Ben and I went for Sushi and walked around…..this is the only picture I have of that and per usual we went to Red Fish 🙂

Monday we actually actively did things like visit my mom’s studio and well…..more eating. My friend Santo came over for a gluttonous round of Raclettes and Fondue which was followed by our midnight outing to see the Hunger Games. I have to say I miss seeing theaters combine food, access to alcohol and the highest fixed price being under $10 a showing.

Finally we headed back to the airport but not before a round of golf in the beautiful weather and a small part of Spring known as Old Town Spring.

Disclaimer: I probably screwed up the order in which these events happened. It is also possible they even happened on different days. You may blame wordpress for this. It took me too many days to Google how to fix my wordpress template post update to remember the events of my own life in order. Take a moment to shed some tears for me. Thanks.
