[Exploring Ocean Beach – San Francisco, CA]

May 17, 2016

This post isn’t going to start the way one might think it would. It wasn’t a very sunny day and I wasn’t in a very good mood. I agreed after forcing myself to go to the gym that it was time to reward my laziness with my favorite coffee. In a bid to be less of a bump on a log, we hopped on the “N” and made our way to Outer Sunset and then Ocean Beach. Ben has been trying to find a DSLR so he could experiment himself and finally his new camera arrived in the mail. Thanks to Amazon’s quick delivery and some fortunate weather…off we went to explore another neighborhood!

Skaters, old VWs, it's almost like a time warp which is why it's so lovely.

Digging into Devil’s Teeth

Where: Devil’s Teeth Bakery [3876 Noriega St]

What: Breakfast Sandwich

There really is no wrong way to go here but the biscuit laden breakfast sandwich is the must have. That and apparently the cinnamon rolls but my stomach couldn’t take that so I stuck to a cornmeal scone.

He also had the delicious breakfast sandwich I took 1 to 3 bites of. Okay 3, I took 3 bites.

Coffee with Andy(town)

Where: Andytown Coffee [3655 Lawton St]

What: Snowy Plover

Oh, Snowy Plovers – I dream of you. Espresso mixed in with sparkling water and a heap of housemade whipped cream. The food here is also scrumptious but again, my stomach never has the room.

There are few things I love more than snowy plovers and Ben caught me red handed

Generally in Store

Where: General Store [4035 Judah St]

What: The greenhouse

If you haven’t already gotten a coffee then the very famous Trouble Coffee is next door to this little shop. While you wait for your butter toast and coffee, explore! We love all the overpriced but beautiful goods in here and the best part is the hidden greenhouse in the back. If you’re looking for something special – this is it’s hiding place.

Beaching Ourselves

Where: Ocean Beach

What: Sitting

This one is pretty self-explanatory – make your way down the main strip past Outerlands, Trouble Coffee and other Ocean Beach favorites. Eventually you will hit the water and once there you should sit and reclaim your true lazy self.

All in all a good morning that ended with us relaxing on the beach.
