[I Designed My Own Wedding Shoes]

October 18, 2017

I have to start off by saying I’m not really the customize anything type. I’ve been told that people that like to monogram, monogram everything but I not only do not monogram, I don’t really customize. For my wedding, I decided to make a special exception. As they say, treat yo self! (and in this case also your wallet, it’s really reasonable, stay tuned)

So here’s the deal, Shoes of Prey is a company that lets you customize your shoes. From heel type to heel height, from leather to silk, from wide to narrow fit…there are endless options for customization. Here are a few photos from my experience. I chose silk for the front with a leather heel, a shimmery trim and of course a block heel for how inevitably clumsy I would be whilst dancing. I opted not to customize the shoe with a custom engraving only because I knew I couldn’t exchange it and I was nervous about it looking just right. This is also not an ad, thought it very well could be because I loved them so much I’m an unbridled fan girl.

My hot tip? Go to a Nordstrom’s try on a pair of non-customized heels and see what the fit looks like, just in case you are as nervous as I am 😉

Without further ado, some photos!

The ordering process…

The packaging! I couldn’t wait to tear into it

An Oscar Wilde quote and some extras for heel, toe and all other possible foot emergencies while in heels.

Out of the box?

Ta-da the final product.
