I have to say we were so pleasantly surprised by the foodie scene in Minneapolis. There’s a pretty heavy Scandinavian, Polish and other eastern European influenced series of food stops. Here are a couple of our recommendations if you have just a few days like we did in the city.
We met up with our friends Japneet and Ross for a brunch at Stable and Spoon. It was their pick and it was lovely. Our one regret is loading up on other food and not having stomach space left for all the beautiful pastries. The quiche over delivered, we were really impressed at its high level of fluffiness. In case you’re looking for something different though, here are a few other recommendations (full disclosure, we only went to the first two on this list, the other two are from friends recommendations):
- Best for meat lovers: Kramarczuk’s East European Deli
- Best for design friends: The Bachelor Farmer (Cafe)
- Best for diner lovers: Hi-Lo Diner
- Best for Vegans: Birchwood Cafes
