[A Stay at the Parkroyal on Pickering – Singapore]

December 21, 2017

Ah, the PARKROYAL on Pickering, the ultimate experience in green city design. We loved our stay here and I thought it was worthy of a full post despite the lack of DSLR photos. So, in exchange here is an iPhone log of our time here.

The most obvious feature is the sky gardens. Terrace after terrace of greenery on the outside of the hotel. Each room has a minimalist Japanese style infused with technology in light grain wood. We can’t speak enough about how much we loved it but instead, we’ll let the photos speak for themselves. You can see small touches of their added effort in the rooms from the floor to ceiling windows with day/night shades and multifunctional furniture units. They also use many different sensors to re-use water and keep things as green as possible.

The view from the walkbridge…

Almost there…

First look

Green space everywhere

Just excessive photos…

The bathroom had so many doors and lights

Finally got my bathtub pictures for those of you that know this joke. It’s not attractive but it’s necessary as evidence.

The view was just terrible, jk, it was this.

A photo poolside

Lobbby farewell

    Hi,

I love that lush, green feel to the place. Many hotels come up short when trying to work in nature. This one seems to work in Singapore’s SE Asian jungle feel just fine. Brilliant. Green always works for me since I prefer that region of the world anyway, as Bali and Thailand are about my most fave places on earth. Thanks for sharing the rocking review!
